Question 99 Corolla Headlights

My fiancee took her Corolla in to get the headlights aimed. They told her the adjusters were bad on them so they couldn't do anything. Not a big deal, but they wanted to charge her a couple hundred bucks to replace them.

My question is, are the adjusters part of the headlights themselves, or are they part of the mounting brackets for the headlights? I just need to know what to order, and since she's at work (with her car), I can't look until she gets home tonight.

Thanks all!

One more question. I plan on buying the headlight assemblies at Advance Auto. Any problems with fitment or adjustment for either the Pilot Automotive or Maxzone headlights? Those are the two brands they offer. My preference is the Maxszone since it at least says it has a 1 year warranty, but feedback for either is welcomed.

Thanks again

Why dont you just go to a junkyard and get some used ones for alot cheaper? Also try ebay...

Not a bad suggestion, but that doesn't answer the question of, "is the adjuster a part of the headlight or part of the mounting bracket?"

That's what I suspect, so I'm going to go under that assumption. It's only $150, so if I'm wrong, not a big deal.

they want to charge you $200 to aim your headlights??

the adjusters are just screws basically that go into the headlight

$200 is insane, unless they are replacing the entire headlight assembly

That's what they were going to do, replace the headlights. They wanted $44 to aim them, which is twice as much as I think they should have charged. instead they charged her $28 because they "looked" at her car. I don't think we'll be going back to that particular stealership again.
