USA Bad Toe-out Rear Whl (AE92)

Howdy folks,

My ae92 has got alignment issue. The toe-out on the rear wheel is about 1.3 degrees, and the lower-back control arm (cam adjust-type) is already extended to the maximum setting. All the linkages looks straight, and so does the frame. What else could be the culprit?

The previous owner replaced the strut (because of an accident) and the knuckle (because of bad wheel bearing). The camber is slightly off, but I think that can be corrected with one of those camber kit (crash bolt). The only theory I have now is that the previous owner replaced the knuckle with the wrong one. Did the AE92 'rollas come with different knuckles?

Thanks.

Did he replace all the struts or just one? You have a fwd or rwd corolla?

Only the left-rear strut was replaced because that was where the damage occurred, and the left-rear wheel is the one with excessive toe-out. The previous owner told me he went to the junkyard and got the entire strut assembly plus the knuckle off of a similar Corolla.

My AE92 is FWD. I think all ae92 are FWD.
