OK, I own a 1992 Corolla 4wd with a 4 speeds auto trans.
The problem happen in this 2 situations :
When all fluid (motor and tranny oil) are cold and I “kick down” the engine.
And
When I drive at ±120km/h and I “kick down” the engine.
In these situation 3 lights go ON in the dash. They just “fliking” few second, then they turn off. The battery light, the “(!)” light and the A/T temp light.
I know sometime Toyota car show us a problem by lightning some dash lights combination.
So ?
Salut.

I am assuming Kick Down means down shift, alternator could be getting weak, when you down shift, alternator starts spinning faster makes the little brushes on the inside that are dieing, spin to fast to create electricity.

I was more concerne about a tranny problem. I already have that problem with my ex-corolla (with manual tranny). I was not sore because the A/T temp light in these actual sitiation.
whats the core $75? So the diffrence isnt that much, one you have to wait for the other you dont. Personal preference I guess. But it is my opinion you'll need it in the next 50miles or whatever that is equvilant to in km.
