He ordered a metal gasket but he was told by someone who seems to know the 4AGE very well that the 4AGZE head gasked would be better
Anyone have an opinion on that ?
What's the best option for him.. metal or 4agze ?
Thanks!
ask that person how the agze head gasket is better, and then let me know. I've never heard that. If he has a stock 4age, then he will be fine with an OEM head gasket.
the guy who said it was better might be saying that because the headgasket was designed in the 4agze for boost ya know he might be impling that since its built for boost its going to be a better option. go with the metal gasket for the 4age he will be very satisfied.

Hmmm, maybe so, but I cant really see it making much difference from one that is OEM. Especially if the 4age is stock.
just pointing this out, just incase he hadn't of purchased it yet. Can't see why a 4agze head gasket would be better, the 4agze has lower compression no? they weren't looking to pull the higher compression out of that engine because it's supercharged.
the OEM ge and gze headgaskets are the same from factory....
the 7afe was brought up for the simple fact being that if you want 'toyota reliability' and a thinner headgasket for a 4age..... a lot of guys will go with a 7afe headgasket as it is a bit thinner and will raise compression w/o the head needing to be shaved.....
