Bad Tank of Gas in 98 Corolla

Right after adding a new tank of gas, my wife's 98 Corolla started rough acceleration, so we think it's probably a bad tank of gas. I put Berryman's B12 Chemtool and it's helped a little (didn't put it in empty tank, so might just need to have some more time for it to clean injectors). What else should I do on the car if bad fuel is the case? From what I read in my Hayes manual and on these forums, the fuel filter is a screen in the tank that does not need replacement - is that still true in this case? I'm also a relative car newb - anything else I need to do to remedy the problem (e.g., what's usually done for a bad tank of gas)? Thanks.

The fuel tank does contain a screen, but the new fuel would need to contain a lot of debris to plug this up. If the tank has a drain plug, park the car overnight then drain out about a pint into a container. See if there is water or other debris in the container. Pick up fuel tank additive designed to absorb water in the tank. Change out the in-line fuel filter.

Would the B12 Chemtool not do the same thing as dry gas/additives? If not, can I use both at the same time, or is that bad?

Do they make seafoam that goes in the gas/fuel system tank? The seafoam I have heard using is for the top end of the motor. (ie cleans pistons/valves/intake)

You want to get good gas in your car. I usually have old gas in my summer vehicles in the spring and I try to run them as low as possible a couple of time before refilling. If your engine is running like total crap you may want to dilute it by filling it at 1/2 tank before trying to run it out.
