98 Corolla Rough Acceleration When In Gear - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

My wife's car is a 98 Corolla CE automatic. If I put the car in neutral or park, the engine revs fine, but if I put it in gear, acceleration is really choppy, and the car stalls often when put in reverse. Anyone know what this could be? (At first I thought it was a bad tank of gas, but I've put in 2 cans of B12, and the engine revs fine in park/neutral ... could it still be engine, or something with the transmission?)

do you have any check lights? have you tried flushing tranny fluid?

Had the wires and spark plugs replaced, and the car is running fine now, must have been lots of oil on the wires. Just putting this here for reference.
