AE86 Re: Valve cover gasket set on 4AGE

Ok, gonna call the Toyota dealership about ordering a valve cover gasket set for my gt-s. When I tuned it up I had quite a bit of oil on the plugs. More than likely it was from the tube seals going around the plug holes I'm guessing. What I want to know is if I order a valve cover set, will this include the o rings I need to replace or are they different? The inside of the valve cover it very hollow when you look in, compared to a dsm or honda engine anyway. I know with those you just boughte the valve cover gasket and the 4 o rings that go around the spark plug holes. Do I need anything else for the 4age?

^which 4AGE are you refering to? The stock 16V?

If so, there are no seals or O-rings around the spark plugs. There are no spark plug tubes either, like the 4AF/4AFE. If there is oil in your spark plug valley, its either the valve cover gaskets, or the oil cap seal.

Since the 16V 4AG valve covers are 2 piece, you need two seals. They're both the exact same shape. Parts person should be smart enough to sell you a pair.

Now if you're refering to the 20V 4AG, then its a different story.

I assume you have oil on the ceramic part of the spark plug, not the electrode tip (much bigger problem).
