Pulling Crankshaft pulley off of a 1zzfe

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get to the front main seal because I've noticed a pretty bad leak but only when I accelerate hard. I was wondering if anyone knew the bolt size or the thread size; pitch of the bolts needed to screw into the crankpulley so i can pull it off the crankshaft.

Thanks.

The head of the bolt is 19mm. If you unscrew the bolt about halfway you can use it to slide off the pulley. Put both thumbs on the bolt head and grasp the sides of the pulley and pull. If it doesn't slide off after several attempts, spray some penetrant (PB Blaster) into the slot between the crankshaft and the pulley and retry. The pulley should slide freely but may have some rust build up preventing this.

Pehaps he meant the service bolts that screw into the body of the pulley when you use a "harmonic balancer" puller on it. Will he need such a puller?

thats what he means, and since he's asking i think he does need to use the puller. i have no idea what size bolts those are.

The puller is not required. The above procedure works fine with no special tools.

On the AE92, the bolts are also used for a special service tool that holds the pulley stilll so the bolt on the the shaft can be unscrewed. I find that it is easier to use an impact wrench to undo the bolt on the shaft since I have never seen this special service tool for sale or rent. Perhaps the 1zzfe pulley is the same way. I agree that getting the pulley off was no problem, but my cars live in a warm, dry climate. Will NY cars be more rusty?

I assumed since he knew what he was talking about that he might have run into a problem sliding it off. So he did what every smart person does and asked if we could help him find the right size screw so he didnt have to run back and forth between the hardware store and his car trying diffrent sizes.

he didnt ask our opinions, or how to get it off. he asked what size screws he would need.

God forbid I try to make it easier. By the time you find bolts, attach the puller, and pull off the pulley you could have it lying in the floor.

Bolt size, I think 8mm thread for the wheel puller holes.
