2007 Corolla Antennae and car wash

Greetings and Salutations folks,

Just bought a 07 Corolla. Curious on folks experience with auto car washes. I noticed the antenna sits on the back and wondering if they are liable to be damaged in a car wash... Also is it possible to take that antenna off prior to going through a car wash.

Thanks for any input

-Mike

Simply for fear of breaking it, do I twist it off or does it pop out?

Thanks

Thanks a lot. I had not tried yet, but I am going to take it through a quick wash this weekend due to how dirty it got the day after I bought it because I had to drive on the highway while it was snowing.

When turning it to the left to remove it (screws right off) you might have to use a little extra umph the first time but it will screw right off.

Go to a laser wash it costs close to the same and you don't have all those twirling brushes and floppy rubber arms beating at your car, who knows if a small pebble/stick or something is stuck in the rubber arms and is beating/chipping your finish...With a Lazar nothing touches your car but the water so you don't have to take anything off....

Tip...I always spray wheel cleaner on my wheels and let it sit for a few minutes before going through ..it breaks up the hard to remove dust and crap on your wheels..

Just my opinion...
