what do you people think i should do? I know that its possible to put a 3sgte first generation engine(david bouchard did from montreal) in ma corolla or just get a 4agze and over size pulleys and cam gears and relocate the intercooler to the front for more hp. What should i do. Turbo or Supercharged? HELPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!! SO confused. Oh and budget is around $5000.
wtf why dont u just turbo the gze if u want turbo so bad

Turbo is marginally better but both can stuff air in equally well if sized right.
I would prolly go turbo if I had the choice for a 'daily driver' Turbo is easier to setup and be drivable and it gives free HP.
SC is better if you're are thinking of doing Autocross or slalom because there is no lag. It can also be turned off (depending on model)

thanks guys , i think imma just get the supercharger ...i have a link on the engine for 9 bills.... anyone knows a shop than can relocate the intercooler to the front. I asked N1 auto if they can get me a truneo hood w\scoop and they said its really hard to get. So if that is the case then i will just relocate intercooler to the front for more air and thus more hp.

yea, u can simply cut the hood and get an aftermarket scoop. they sell those for around 30 bucks or so

I have an air - water intercooler from a turbo celica and it -just- fits under the hood. Its all out now because I am starting to measure/make some air boxes for the propane mixer, but tomorrow i will set it where I normally have it and snap a pic.
If you really want an intercooler done right (hehe you guys are gonna start hating me for referring this site soon but its not my fault they just have all the shiznit for info ...

Yeah the best of both worlds get the 4agze and slap a turbo on top of the super then you have no lag plus mad high-end boost
Well there is the 4A-GTE which is basically a twincharged engine... has a supercharger for low revs before the turbo spools up. However you cant use both at the same time, the SC will be counter productive as it cant produce enough boost, so it will basically be a bottleneck. What you need is a solenoid to open another path for the air after the turbo spools up, and make sure the SC magnetic clutch disconnects and renders the SC non-powered.
Ok please excuse the mess heh I am right in the middle of taking things off so I can start finding places to mount the mixer, regulator, and evaporator.
Here is a pic of the engine compartment with the intercooler pulled back
