Power window faliure 05 Corolla

Hi,
My 05 Corolla lost it's right rear power window functionality, I took the door panel off and tested all the connections, They all have power and seem fine. dont see any pinched wires off hand.
I took the left rear panel off and removed the switch and tested it on the right side, didnt work. the right switch does work on the left door so that eliminates the switches. I even took the regualtor out of the right rear and connected it to the left rear and the motor went up and down without any problems I also tested it with both switches.. no problems at all.
I left the right regulator in the full up posistion so I could install it and with the window in the closed position. As soon as I plugged the motor connection for the reg in the right door.. it turned the motor on and went back in the default posistion. I was still unable to get the motor to actuate again. I went and retested everything again.. all my connections and swithces and regualtors. all are working except the right rear. and If I have the regulator in the extended posisiton, when I go plug it back in on the right rear it actuates and goes back to the defalut posistion.. This one's got me, anyone have any good tips or electrical tips I can check on .. .I would take it to the dealer, but my 05 has 127184 miles on it already and is waaaaaaaaay out of warranty.. I know... I have a 200 mile round trip commute.....
If anyone has any tips or anything they could offer on this it would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like you checked everything. I would go to a wrecking yard or ebay and buy a used window motor and try it. It sounds like the motor is shot. I had a windshield wiper motor on a GM product that worked ok but when it shut off it would stop in the wrong position. I replace the motor and it solved the problem. Keep us posted and good luck.

I thought I mentioned that I do have another complete regulator that I got from a ebayer.. works perfect, just not on the right side.. I even took the motor that I thought was bad.. and tested it and it works fine on the left side, regualtor and switch, tested them both,, twice.. Thank god I shopped around on ebay and that only cost me 23 bux shipped.. I lucked out as the dealer wanted about 200.00 and reman was about 125.00.
non the less... Im still stumped...!

In most Toyota power window systems, the windows receive power from two sources. One is controlled by drivers switch. Two wires run from the drivers switch console through the passenger switch and to the motor. Moving the drivers control switch one-way or the other changes the DC polarity to the motor. The motor will then run CW or CCW depending on DC polarity. NOTE: in this setup power to the motor goes through the two wires, the motor does not use the cars frame as an electrical ground.

The other power source is ONE wire going from the drivers console (always hot) to the passenger switch. This allows the passenger switch to control the window independently from the drivers console control switch.

When the passenger’s side switch is moved, the hot wire power is directed to one or the other wire of the motor, simultaneously the DC power return is directed through one of the wires that the drivers console use to control the motor. Thus the circuit is completed.

You will need to determine if power is coming from both drivers console wires, and is changing polarity when the switch is moved one-way or the other. And then determine if the hot wire has power and this power is being returned through one of the two wires discussed above.

Suggest you download the power window info for the Camry at the link below and look at the wiring diagrams. Should be close to what you have.
