USA Mystery Corolla

While driving in St. Paul Minnesota on January 27, 2007 I cam up behind a very sharp looking what appeared to be a small convertible. It was a very new looking 2007 vintage Toyota Corolla with a Cloth Top. Not sayiny it was a convertiblw but the top was definately cloth. I know I wasn't dreaming. What model of Corolla did I see?

Please shed some light on this

Thank you,
JJK

are you sure it was a convertible? could it have been a vinyl top like the "old lady" cars? i'm 100% certain there were no Corollas released as a convertible version in the US.

it most likely was a dealer specific option in an attempt to make it more classy. I see newer camrys like that once in awile.

Some of the older Toyotas had a cloth looking layer applied on the top that looked like a convertable. It was supposed to make the car look more expensive, like a vintage Cadilac.
What you saw was probably a custom job.
That stuff usually caused the roof to rust.

Lol..I'm sure this guy kept a camera on his front seat just in case he saw a convertible Corolla....

And then he wouldn't post the pics to show what he meant....
