EGR temp sensor resistance

Hi there,

Does anyone know what the EGR temp sensor resistance should be for my 92 Corolla? It is not in my Haynes manual.

Thanks

Hi submark1

While sensor disconnected typical value is 400~600 ohms when cold. But it follows hypebolic characteristic curve, so it means that the sensor's resistance goes down as the temperature goes up.

Bestway for the test is to check for open or short, or to measure the resistance (disconnected) when engine is cold, run the engine for a while, warm it up properly and preferably run down the road at high speed for a while and measure the resitance (disconnected) when engine is hot, it should read lower than when engine is cold.
