I had a set of TRD springs on my 2000 Corolla LE. The ride was actually not that bad. Firmer than stock, of course, but not objectionable. In fact, my 2000 with the TRD springs and Tokico HPs rode a little bit softer than my current Corolla, a 1993 LE with TEIN springs (2" drop) and KYB GR-2s.
Incidentally, the TRD units are manufactured by Eibach (the Eibach logo is printed on the springs themselves), so you know they're quality.
