USA 2006 Xrs

I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find performance parts for my XRS. I have looked at AEM for Cold air intake, they don't have one. Toyota's TRD websita has been showing "Coming Soon" for over 6 months now. I just want a little more out of my car, but am having a problem finding quality parts for it.

TRD is heavily overpriced anyway. I checked prices on everything including springs and exhaust. They were ridiculous. I would never buy anything from them and Toyota knows it. There is a reason why my Toyota dealership cleans out and oils my cold air intake filter for me. So much for fear of voiding warranty..LOL.

Injen makes the best cold air intakes. I would not recommend AEM because the filter is too low and could run into potential problems such as, hydrolock etc.

If you want to go with a short ram intake, there are many available for Corolla XRS such as, Cosmo, Fujitsu, AEM etc.

I have a 2004 Matrix XRS Injen Cold Air Intake and it fits like a glove, car will clearly pull harder in lift, gears wind up quicker, and sound great as well. I highly recommend it. You just have to take the bumper off to install it. As far as exhaust is concerned, you can get Magnaflow, Greddy (SP2 and Evo 2), Borla etc. I chose Greddy because it sounds amazing and has a straight pipe from the muffler to the tip without any bends, which was important to me.

Well I lookedit up on Injen.com. But only for an intake for 2004 Matrix XRS, nothing for the corolla. I know they are pretty much the same care, but I would think that if it was a part that would fit both, it would say. Also, im not sure what is different between the 2004, 2005, and 2006. But Injen only shows the parts for the 2004.

That's good to know that the 2004 matrix CAI fits on 2005 corolla cuz I've been looking for one a long time ago and could not find any.

Definitely. 2004 Matrix XRS is what I have. Remember, DO NOT get the 2003 Matrix XRS Injen CAI since it is a one-piece design and will not be a straight fit like the 2004 Matrix XRS Injen.

Nonetheless, the expression on your face once you hear and feel lift the first time with Injen on would be priceless and something to cherish for a long time to come.

[QUOTE=rice]why's that?[QUOTE]

TRD USA = Rebadged parts from other manufacturers

They don't even make their own stuff, unlike TRD Japan.
