AE92 wrong Radiators?

hey my 88 gts corolla was dumping coolant, but I found the leak. the radiators junk, and i decided to try and go with the quiick fix. Bought a new one. Only the shop ordered me the wrong one.

the from engine hose does not conect in the same place. the radiator fan fits perfectly, and the too engine hose is the same. I need one like this, but is going to toyota realy necesary for this part?

I apologize about all the posts guys.

i wouldn't waste my time with the dealer unless you want your butt to hurt after, they qouted me $580 for a rad.

Look around call some of those Used Japanese auto parts places they often carry new aftermarket parts ( i got my rad for $95 like this )

I bought a new one off ebay for only $90 shipped... 2 years back,, it's really nice and fits perfect... why don't people take advantage of these good deals and do it right??

the dealer near me quoted me 600$ for shift cables , i was thinking to myself "how much could they possibly be", because i didnt want to go the wreckers and freeze my ass off, but i got the parts for free, so i guess freezing my ass of was better then getting shafted...

Sounds like you got the one for the SR5 and sedans, not the one for the GTS.

^^^ yep..... though, if you get the rad hoses (including the 1 metal hose) for an ae82 gts it'll still work

Yeah, from engine(inlet connection) cooling hose mounts to the right of the radiator cap stock. So my inlet hose is not long enough to reach the inlet connection on the aftermarket one, because the connection is too far towards center. So a new longer hose would work just fine. TOO bad i returned the radiator the next day.

But then again an aluminum after market one would be sweet. Not that there is one out there that fits my rolla.

Would the ae86 KOYO performance radiator fit nicely with custom hoses?
What one metal rad hose is there, and is it only for ae82?

the ae82's use the same radiators that the ae82 non 4ag and the ae92 sr5/sedans use..... the upper hose is split into 2 rubber hoses and 1 metal hose (that travels along the valve cover).
