07 S Heater issues

Ok this is really starting to piss me off. I rarely use anything but the front and rear defroster because it gets way too damn hot in my car after only a minute, maybe less. I have to keep setting the heat to either the low middle or cold setting. Even with the fan setting on off it still pumps out heat like mad. Any suggestions?

if u crank the heat up and turn the knob to OFF u will still have hot air coming in to the car... when the car moves it pushed air through the vents.... just turn the temp down and ull b good

I realize all I have to do is turn the heat down and the fan off. But I live in an area where the defroster needs to be on alot of the time. Just turning the heat down doesn't help because then I have to turn it back up a minute later because the windshield fogs up soo fast since the setting is still set to defrost. So I have to turn the setting to blow out the main air vents and turn the heat down everytime it gets too hot, which is every 30 seconds or soo after I set the heat to hot. If you understood any of that then you understand that this is a real pain in the ass, which is why I'm wondering if there is anyway to fix this heat problem. I don't like having the windows open either.

On an unrelated matter, does anyone know how to disable the panic button on the remote?

Sounds like normal operation. Most modern cars work that way. If you have air condition turn it on with the defogger fan on low and make sure you don't have the recirculating air switch on. This way your windows will stay clear and you can keep the temp cooler.

ok, so leave it on full blast but turn the TEMPERATURE down...this isn't a "problem" - it's what we call operator error.

do yourself a favor. don't blame the car until you consider all possible options.

this is the same way with chevy trucks, the air from outside will go through and warm up, then out your vents, the only way around it is to put your position control on vent, or vent plus floor, only these two will work cuz u then have to put your recuculate button on, u can only do this while is os on floor or vent and floor, with that button on, even with the fan off, it wont allow any air from the ouside to come in, thus, no more hot air.
