Question Air bag lights on

I have had an 06 Corrola for 4 days. The air bag lights are on for both driver and passenger. I have read the posts and tried disconnecting the battery and that does not work. Is there anything else simple to try, or is it necessary to go to the dealer? Thank you.

go back to the dealer, ESPECIALLY if you haven't had the car for a week...that could be a liability issue on their part.

Strongly suggest you take it to the dealer! When the airbag lights are on, the airbag is disabled. You have no airbag protection. The dealer should be all over this as it is a major safety issue. Don't try to fix yourself.

Disconnecting the battery overnight will remove the airbag lights, but only temporarily, after several drive cycles. If they just HAPPENED to come on after you bought it, I would bet that's what somebody else did before selling it to you.

Thank you, I did take it to the dealer, and they said something messed up the calibration of the pass. seat sensor, and although they did not know what happened, it was still under warranty.
