AE92 What fuel pump do I use in my AE92 ?

I've got 2 posts asking this question but anyways,
I need to know what fuel pump will fit the housing of my AE92 gas tank, to run a 20V?
The tank is a circle shape, and from what ive heard the 101 tank is an oval shape. I absolutely cannot find a AE92 FI pump because they are very rare here, and i am not buying an after market pump because its way to expensive and its not at all necessary at the moment because im stock "for the hour "
Anyone?>

Have you TRIED fitting a different pump on there? If worse comes to worse, you could bend the bracket to make it fit.

No well the car didnt come with a fuel pump, it was a carby engine b4 so all it has is a gas gauge under the lid in the tank. so theres no bracket to hold a f/pump.
what i need to know is what f/pump housing will fit onto the tank. Then i can always find a pump to put on.

use an external aftermarket pump? Your better off getting the efi tank anyways due to the baffles to stop the fuel from sloshing around so that the system still gets fuel all the time

The normal solution is to use a low pressure (carby) in-tank pump, to supply fuel to a surge tank, then use a high pressure pump (EFI) pump to feed the engine from there.

Which pumps to use?

For example, my dads car uses a old nissan one for the in-tank pump (can't remember the make) and a toyota/lexus V8 4WD pump for the high pressure side.

Finding/fabricating a surge tank, and buying all the fittings and fuel lines needed is more expensive than finding a factory EFI tank. (in most cases)

What difference does it make which pump works? You just said you cant find a stock pump and you refuse to buy an aftermarket. That doesnt leave many choices....does it.

Aaah ok..... I get you now. In that case, just grab the external pump. It'll save you a TON of fitment and bracketry headaches. And don't forget your return lines.

ok, diver..when i say aftermarket i mean a pump that you buy in a store like a walbro pump, not one that came off of another car. Just because i cannot find the AE92 pump doesnt mean i cant use one from another vehicle...
punter i was thinking the same thing, of running a surge tank, but ill leave this as a last option, as its a bit bulky, and ill have to either buy one or make one. which as u said could be costly.
As for fabricating something, its not a prob, i have lots of tools for that kind of stuff.
what i was thinking of doing, is making a bracket onto the stock gas gauge mount, to hold a pump. then ill just need to run the hose down into the tank.
I think this is my best option, i've never heard of anyone doing this, but it seems to me, to be the best and cheepest way out.
Ill make the hose that runs from the pump down into the tank with a solid tube, and put the filter at the end. This way the tube wont be moving around, and will always stay to the lowest point in the tank to "hopefully" avoid any fuel surges when bending a corner.
When the fab is complete ill take a picture and send youll to see my masterpiece.
