AE92 Blackout Tails

Hey guys, im wondering what you think about blacked out tails on a GT-S ae92; or at least tinted ones. I have a can of the VHT Night Shade, and any input would be apreciated.
Thanks for looking.....

what color is the car ? i think Black would be over kill & would really clash... also your messing with other peoples safety when messing with tail lights..

my ex did it to his taillights, and couldn't understand why he got rearended multiple times in a year.

it reduces visibility, and increases your risk of getting hit...AND it's illegal. don't do it.

yea you guys are right im not trying to get rearended, or hassled by the cops. I figured that it would look nice, and still be safe on my RED rolla. Im going to hold off on that, at least till i get the opion of sombody that has done it to their AE92 before..... with good results, and I dont care that the idea is played out; I've never seen it done. Thank you ladies, and gentlemen...

if you truly want to black out the taillights, get a set of tails with clear lenses and black housings...it really is a lot safer in the long run.

^^^ Sure if you own a HOnduh.... Like i said before, a slight tint would probly look nice & still remain in a safe zone, However, upgrading the bulbs in the rear wouldnt be a bad idea, just to cover your own ass

Yes that would certainly be nice, but i hav'nt seen any aftermarket tails for it. I know you can usualy customize a Honda's tail lights. My boy made his 3rd gen Lude's stock tail lights all clear; by removing the housing... He may have had to break the housings though.

Does the AE92 coupe have a clear lense under housing?

I did it to mine, as redneck as it sounds, i took a can of clear spray paint or clearcoat and a can of black gloss and sprayed them both at the same time.
