headlamp replace( the whole thing)

OK,
I was looking on ebay and thougth After all the great info on the bulbs, it would be stupid of me to relace them without replacing the whole cover. Lens etc. Now any clue as to are these things just bolt into the origional spot? Or do they need mods? I need to get new ones. One of mine had to be replaced after a cop blew a stop sign and hit me. It's all cloudy. Thanks gang.

They bolt in, although they may or may not fit perfectly. Getting the headlights in and out is a surprisingly annoying process because the side markers and main enclosures are linked together. You'll probably wind up snapping something in the process of removal...but it shouldn't impact your ability to get the new ones in and solid. (I didn't bother reconnecting my side markers with the main enclosures, and as such both of them are easier to get at for adjustment or bulb replacement. Set aside a good couple hours worth of light to do this...it may also help if you remove the battery to give yourself a little more room to work in.

I would also recommend taking it to a shop when you're done and getting them to properly aim-adjust the headlights for you.

Two bulbs per headlight, yes. 9005 high-beam and 9006 low-beam.
