the best exhaust you can get is from the manifold back...that's a true exhaust system, and will work the best with your car.
17" wheels...18s look good, but really reduce your ride quality.

yes, they have cold air systems, you can buy them on ebay, they are just like the one i have on mine, you can see it in my sig, they also sell exhust systems, not sure about them, they look like ricer exhust.

Mine i made from parts i got at home depot, but i got the design from one of off ebay,...03-06 TOYOTA COROLLA 1.8L OTTO'R COLD AIR INTAKE SYSTEM. Ive done all kinds of shit to my car since i got it, mainly cuz im bored, aftermarket tail lights, head lights, xenon conversion, cold air, struts, all sorts, but ya, the cold air goes under your fuse box and down into the wheel well. Takes about an hour to take all the old shit off and to put the new on. i can send you more pics but i dont know how to post them on here.

i have lots of tuner Qs but will start with:
does anyone make a cold intake? i seem to only find short ram.
if i lower it with coilovers should i intall over stock struts or do i have to buy a shorter strut also.
sugestion: a good srut tower bar front and back.
exsaust: a good import tuner muffler or should i wait till i can get an entire system from manifold, pipe, cat, ect.

I'm not familiar with exactly what coilovers are available for the 05's, but a good, true coilover setup will include the springs AND dampers (struts) that are matched to the spring rate. If its not a true full coilover setup, I.E.something like Ground Controls, then yes you need better struts. Koni's from Tirerack would be my recommendation.
Strut bars - get a TRD front bar. I dont believe anyone even makes a rear bar.
Exhaust - Get a TRD. if they dont have them for 03+ you can probably buy a 98-02 and have an exhaust shop fab up mounts for it. You can also have said shop run you some custom piping from the cat to the new muffler. Just make sure you keep a resonator, or it'll sound like shit. If you want you can use something like a glasspack muffler welded in in place of the stock restrictive resonator. Don't just throw a muffler on. Do the whole cat-back setup at once, maybe even throw a high-flow cat on if you'd like.
Wheels - I'm a big fan of "Lighter is better" Stay away from heavy stuff like Motegis. I would go with 17's, but if you want 18's look for something thats not too heavy. I'd say go with forged wheels, but thats not cheap.
And one thing to always remember. Research everything 1st. Have a plan of how everything will fit together. Most importantly, buy QUALITY parts.

i really appreciate the advice. i getting a better picture of how to go about things. i will prob do all my suspention first along with intake, then go for the output later as i can afford. the thing i hear is that these cars go forever so it will give me time to complete my prodject over the next couple of years.
this car stock smokes my old j-body and looks better, i think i will join that corolla site i was looking for a dedicated site when i ran accross this one, not to take anything away from this site, you guys responded great.
Also, why do you want coilovers? The only real advantage to them is being able to change ride height. A set of B&G springs and Koni Yellow's (or even Tokico's) would be cheaper than a $1000+ Coilover setup.
B&G's w/ Koni's or Tokico's would be a nice setup w/o being too low for the street. My setup on my old 97 was a little bouncy because I ran the B&G's with KYB GR2's. Needless to say the setup was probably underdampened with the GR2's. Still, it made the car 100x more fun to drive.

why not use koni springs if i get koni dampeners. what would be the advantage of b&g w/ koni or tokico's?
i looked at some koni's. there around $160 front $115 back. question is do they adjust hight before install or do they come in different hights?
Neither, the Koni's are strut inserts. They arent a coilover setup and thus aren't height adjustable. They are dampening (stiffness) adjustable.
And Koni doesn't make springs. You can find the B&G's on www.shox.com and the Koni's on tirerack.com
