Question Ae/ee?

I once told someone on a forum in a galaxt far far away that I had an AE-101.
He said something about having an Australian or Japanese model of the Corolla.

So I was like, um, okay... and stumbled onto a chassis code breakdown, and found it to say EE-101 because of the car being a 1.6L and being a standard model.

Now, being the enthusiastic people you all are here, I was wondering why your list doesn't cover things like that.

Otherwise, I was just lied to by some dude in Hamburg Germany about my Rolla.

But also, is it possible that there is an EE line but you guys don't use it to consider what you have?

I'm really all twisted around in circles now, and don't know what to beleive.

The EE Corollas are powered by the 2E, 4EFE, etc.. I believe it's basically the same motor family as the Tercels.

The AE Corollas are powered by the A series motors, 4AF, 4AFE, 4AGE, 7AFE, etc..

EE = E series engine
AE = A series engine.
