AE 101 Addco Rear Sway Bar question

Hi all.

Just wanted to know if anyone here has ever installed the Addco rear sway bar for the Corolla. According to the part number, I have the correct bar, but it is actually 3-4 inches too wide for the stock mounting locations (it's supposed to mount like the stock unit). And it obviously won't bend.

I am still waiting for a response from Addco, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this, and if there is a solution. Thanks in advance.

That might be for the AE101 Coupes, in which case you might be SOL.

Thanks, for the reply, Ren.

Actually, it can't be for the coupe. Addco makes bars for US-market cars (they're based in North Carolina), and North America only got the sedan & wagon. My car is a 1993 Corolla LE sedan. :\

Incidentally, the bar fits under the car, although like the OE piece, it has to be snaked over and under all kinds of stuff. It's just the ends sit too far outboard to connect to the endlinks. Unless we got a really strong guy to bend them a couple inches inwards (which ain't happening).

Any other thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? I may have to go the more expensive Hotchkiss route, though the car needs more rear bar than front.

I've never looked under my 97, but is possible to turn the end link around.

By this I mean to take it off the suspension side mounting point and mount it on the other side. I know in my 91 celica that this would be possible, but I dont know about the corolla.
