Solved! Performance Issues

I figured out why I had to launch at nearly 3000rpm to get my car to go on and why it would bog after everyshift, even shifting at redline. I took my car into a buddy's shop and put it on the lift and looked at the exhaust beause it seemed alot louder than before.

To my surprise, The catalytic converter was held on by one bolt and hanging striaght down and the back exhaust only was held on by cooked on gaskets. It was running the equivalent of an open header. Put some new stainless bolts on and now it runs great. My torque is back and my fuel economy isn't suffering. It would probably be a good idea for everyone with a bolt on system to periodically check their exhaust bolts.

my exhaust has been broken on my ae92 for over a year..... it's broken at the back of the flange of the front cat flange..... my performance is great and my fuel economy is as good as ever....

sounds like an interesting problem you had there.....
