Just bought a 92 corolla

Well I just purchased a 92 corolla sedan, 5 speed. I had a dodge truck and I commute 60 miles one way to work and gas was killing me. Found this corolla for $1000 and figured i get it for gas and reliability. Can anyone tell me a little more about these cars? i think if i read right its got a ae92 motor? anyone know some bolt ons i can do for a little more power? maybe the bolt pattern so i can get new rims. Any help would be appreciated

Bolt Pattern is 4x100 for new rims, AE92 referrs to the chassis number, the engine you have is a 4A-FE. You're pretty much stuck as far as it goes for bolt-on power, these cars aren't hondas. Read through the ultimate corolla sticky while you're at it, there's some good stuff there.

Eh...That must be the ignorant statement of the day Really, you just have to be creative and make your own parts. You cant expect to find them at the local ricer-store, but then again, what fun it is to have a car thats an exact copy of a copy of a copy of a copy

Howabout a "bolt on" turbokit and some "bolt in" wiseco pistons Should give you nice power.

I think you just misinterpreted what I meant. by saying there isn't much as far as "bolt-on" performance goes, I was saying how you can't just hop onto cardomain and buy a CAI or Cat-back from a selection of dozens, like you can with a honda.

I guess there's a difference in my book between "Bolt-on" and "Make, then bolt-on" in my book , I never said you can't tell your local exhaust shop to make an exhaust for you for $250.
