95 Corolla 1.6liter won't start! ACK!

Car doesnt start!

Getting fuel, no spark!

Codes have been somewhat unhelpful, codes 13 and 31, RPM sensor (+1500) and MAP, both of which could easily cause a loopy car that doesn't want to drive but this thing died like someone pulled my spark plugs out, gracefully it went from a humming motor to a silent door stop. No hesitation, no thumping, not going through any motions of having any spark capability what-so-ever. Just dead.

I guess I just want some validation on this, I mean I'd think that should the igniter go out, the RPM signal, starter signal, etc would be able to hone that one down, but if it's the physical coil that is the problem I could see it ECU not catching that.

I smell gas in the intake, but it's not making a toot at all, not even a nice backfire.

Damn Damn Damn!

The distributor is turning and I can see the spark gapping. What next?
