Hey there,
I'm new to the forum too. I own an '89 SR5 with 147k miles that's in pristine condition.
The actual headlights (Bulb+Glass) themselves are cheap and easy to buy. It is a 1-piece halogen light assembly (basically a huge light bulb with a power outlet in back that plugs into the car) that costs about $12 off the shelf from Walmart. It takes 5 minutes to replace and the only tool you need's a screwdriver. I forget the model number of the bulb. It's a common bulb and the model # was like 6054 or something.
The light under the headlight has some little bulbs inside that are about $1 each at Walmart. The lens cover is model # 81621-12380 and lists for about $52 at the dealership per an old parts guide I have. These sometimes sell on Ebay. Be aware that you can buy parts for about 20-30% off list price online at various Toyota dealerships. Most recently I bought from Mossy Toyta in San Diego and Texas Toyota in Grapevine, TX.
The actual headlamp comes in multiple pieces. Unfortunately I see that there's a "bracket, retracting" that lists for $248 and the motor lists for $281. So, sounds like your best bet is to find parts at an online junkyard.
Hope this helps,
John

I come here because I just got into a fender bender with my 90 corolla SR5 and I can't seem to find a new headlight assembly for it anywhere. No junkyards have them and none of the ones on ebay look like they are for the pop-up lights like what I have. Also, the bulb and glass lens all seem to be one piece. Does this mean its a halogen light? If anyone has a car that they are parting out, or can point me in the direction of where to get one, that would be amazing.
o, I could use a fender and the light under the headlight, but I'm pretty sure I can find those on my own.
Thanks.
