NEED Help buying first corolla 1980

Hey im buying my first corolla soon its a 1980 1.8 Carb motor with bad body damage ( no accidents just crappy looking from junkyard peices) its RWD hatchback with insanely Bad interior what ever is not missing is ripped or torn the price is $300

From my point of veiw the car has no frame damage and rust which is perfect ive done body work and paint so cleaning up the exterior is no problem and ive done engine swaps before so the car is not really my concern its the resale and it drives fine just needs some rings redone

My questions are ...
#1 Does the 1980 corolla diffrer from the popular hatches from the mid 80's (yes the initial D ones ) cause it looks very similar to me
#2 are the engines direct bolt ons (I dont want the carb engine)
#3 does the breaking need to be upgraded
#4 What engines and trannys do you guys recommend (LSD tranny prefered)

Im by no means a "newbie" to cars ive worked on cars for years just dont know much about toyota (im a nissan guy)

Body wise... there's nothing similar about the AE/TE72 and the AE86s




Suspension wise, I believe you can use some of the suspension components from the AE86s

Your car is a TE72 with a 1.8L 3TC motor, try this site for more info on your car, you won't find much on TN about it.
