97 corolla brake lights

Ok, decided to help a friend change a rear brake light on his 97 corolla sedan...in all the Toyotas I've seen, I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the 2 black plastic clips inside the trunk that hold the corners of the lights down. Without removing these, I can't see how the bulbs can be replaced. Anyone know how (without an SST)? Toyota quoted the dude $150 to change them out...right...

fuk it was impossible to take my rear light off.. took sooooooo long
my uncle helped me..

the black screws dont come out i believe.. i forgot though..
but i remember my uncle just ripped the damn thing out..
after taking like 2 or so screws out.. the easy ones..
look in the owners manual.. follow the instructions.. but follow it w/ using force
