Canada 4a-ge head gasket

Hi everybody!
I have a 1986 corolla gts which recently blew the head gasket.
Can anybody tell me, what would be the quickest way to replace the HG.
What has to be unbolted, and what could stay on the head?
thanks

you can leave your intake and exhaust manifold attached to the head, thats what I did with my 4af. At that point you clean the surfaces and reinstall the gasket and put it all back together. It can be time consuming, but WAY cheaper than a shop doing it, here they charge it as a 10 hour job so it gets fairly expensive for labour. The parts cost me under 150, I replaced a couple other gaskets, as well and purchased a couple bolts for the exhaust manifold. That is with the anti freeze, oil, and the couple tools I needed (10 mm 12pt socket)

and if you dont skim the head and its warped, you're gonna risk blowing the headgasket within a very short time period.

My advice is to get a service manual.
