Corolla spring price VS Civic spring price

I am really just sounding off here, I have an idea, but it is just a little hard to accept.

My wife wants her '93 Civic lowered, so I look on E-bay for some springs, and was quite shocked when I saw that they cost about $30 for a set + $45 shipping.

I had just orderded a set for my '92 Corolla for $210, shipping included. I know that the Civic is more popular for modifications and so the price might reflect the volume sales diference, but ....... this price difference is amazing.

Think of how many applications that spring works for though.

1992-1995 Civic (all) [5th gen]
1996-2000 Civic (all) [6th gen]
1994-2001 Acura Integra (all)
1994-1997 del sol (all)
1988-1991 Civic/CRX {all) [4th gen]

I've owned about 8 cars from the above listings, and had suspension setups across the board. You pay for what you get.

I bet if you compaired Eibachs to Eibachs, it would be much closer in price.

Travismorg & Flashmn.
You both have good points, but I never saw any that were higher priced.
Maybe just my timing. Anyway she just wants it for show, so as long as they fit and the car doesn't bottom out I guess it will be alright (until she starts complaining that they are too hard) Then the price won't seem so bad when I put the stock springs back on.

cheap springs ride bad. For example expensive coil overs will have less coils than cheaper ones, spaced wider apart, yet maintain same springrates as the cheaper ones. You however have much more travel before the spring binds.
Same goes for coil springs.

WEAPON R's BABY! Along time ago back in 99 a friend of mine had an Eclipse with weapon-r springs, spring snapped in half! Bomb engineering if you ask me, he switched to Eibach's later felt great!

I noticed the same thing. Im used to my honda, easy to get cheaper parts bc every body has them. I don't think I would put 30$ springs on the car, but ebay has some decent things at times. I ordered some tokico blues with TEIN h.techs today. They should be here in a week, then the fun of putting them on.
