Fine for me, and I don't see why it should cause any problems. I don't know what you have but my 20V is stock, other than some external bolt-ons. Application is daily driving + lapping days + grocery getting. I tried 94 one time didn't notice a significant difference, I wasn't paying attention though so this year I'll feed some 94 and speculate again. But MINIMUM go with 91.
Last year after my swap the tank had some old 87 mixed with a little bit of 91. Thanks to the factory ECU I didn't get any pinging (knock sensor) and it was perfectly drivable on the street, but it definately didn't pull as hard as it did with a tank of pure 91 octane.
