AE92 4AF carb.

Hey hows it going i just recently got a 89 corolla 4AF with a carb. The car is all original so i was wondering if there is any carbs that are bigger than the stock one and give the car a small horsepower increase. Also what do you guys think about keeping the stock 4AF im on a buget thats why i was wondering about putting a bigger carb and if it is possible thanks.

a bigger carb without other mods wont really do much, except make it a hassle.

I pondered on a similar upgrade on my AE82 sedan, had the 4AC mildly worked, just mild cam and extractors and was going to put a 32/36 weber on it by welding and adapter to the original manifold.

But would have been a real pain to align the ports of the carbie to sort of match the manifold hole without too much disturbance of flow, so I made a twin side draft manifold for 2x40mm solex carbies off an 2TG. I still have that manifold with carbs which I'm selling at the moment. Had them on the motor and started it, SOUNDS AWESOME .

But save the deniro's and get a 4AGZE swap happenening, you wont ever look back.

ummm depends how much boost you put in it. Flashmn did it to a 4af

Don't underestimate the stength of the 4a engine. Even a 4AC can do some amazing stuff. There's a vid on the internet I saw, ren might still know where it is, that they put nos and over rev a 4ac in a busted up ae86 until it blew up, lasted I think 2 or 3 min. Which is pretty decent considering what they did to a car that was already in really bad shape.
