I pondered on a similar upgrade on my AE82 sedan, had the 4AC mildly worked, just mild cam and extractors and was going to put a 32/36 weber on it by welding and adapter to the original manifold.
But would have been a real pain to align the ports of the carbie to sort of match the manifold hole without too much disturbance of flow, so I made a twin side draft manifold for 2x40mm solex carbies off an 2TG. I still have that manifold with carbs which I'm selling at the moment. Had them on the motor and started it, SOUNDS AWESOME
