Corolla Hatchback

the other day i was driving home and i saw a Fairly Recent Corolla Hatchback Coupe. The car had Diplomat plates. i was in traffic so i couldn't see the front, but i saw it from the back and kinda from the side to see it was a coupe and a hatch. the tails were kinda Triangular and was all red and and one White Circle.

does anyone know were this car came from import or special edition???????//

Is that a Corolla T-Sport?

A hatchback with 4 doors is called a 5-door or a liftback sedan.

Otherwise hatchback = coupe with hatch.

For the TE71-72 1980 - 82 Corollas. Toyota called the 2dr hatchback a Coupe and the 4dr hatchback a liftback.

Now the Corolla 4dr hatchback is a Matrix (stationwagon).
Its all marketing, selling stationwagons to younger people.

Its amazing how Toyota is selling the Echo hatchback under several other different names. The Yaris, Vitz and the Scion Xa.
All depending on where they are selling them.
