is this normal for spark plugs (56k order pizza!)

picture #1. with flash
Picture #2. without flash

when I pulled the plug in cylinder #1, it was full of either fuel or oil. I "did" accidently leaked some oil in there when i was changing oil because cylinder #1 is right next to the filler cap, but I dont think that's it. (my spark plug boot has a gap)

well, guys and gals, is this the right color for "normal" plugs, and wassup with the fuel/oil in my spark plug?

With modern fuels and engines the plugs will be white with maybe a hint of gray. If oil fouled they would look dark or black. Was there oil around the base of the plug that somehow got onto the treads? If gas, you should be able to smell it.

A Google search will turn up websites with photos of normal plugs, oil or gas fouled, etc.

^1994 DX 7afe 5-spd

180,000 miles

I take good care of my baby, but i like it rough too.

good news! After installing the new plugs, I ran it for about 15+ mins, pulled out the plug in cylinder #1 and there was no liquid on there. So my assumption was right, the previous liquid was from when I accidently spilled engine oil in (dont worry, it was just a little ^_^).

^ ^ Whoaa! thats more miles than the 90 Corolla DX I got for free "its only 120K... Didnt know these 4A-engines last that long... once it turns 200Kmiles, get a BLACKTOP 20V and it would be better and only $900, better than a tune-up...
