Oil Leak And Loud Tapping...need Help

I Have An 88 Rolla 1.6 Carb Setup. I Am About Tired Of Swapping Parts At This Point. I Have Changed Every Seal And The Front End Has Been Almost Completely Replaced. I Amd Still Getting A Loud Tap And Knock Sound Like Its Always Low On Oil. The Only Seal That I Havent Replaced Is The Rear Main. I Just Finished Puttign The New Oil Pump And Oil Pan Gasket And Another Crank Seal. I Still Get A Leak From The Belt Housing And From Around Th Efront And Bottom Of The Tranny. Does Anyone Have Any Helpful Hints For These Rollas? I Hear That The Old Camrys And Rollas Tap Loud Anyways. Thanks.

None of mine have ever tapped, its defintly not normal. Posting a pic of the leak would help be able to diagnose your problem. Where from the bottom of the tranny is it leaking? Check the CV shaft seals at the tranny.

make sure the tapping is comming from the engine itself, could be the tranny, or any of the other various things such as alternator, p/s pump, a/c pump and so on.

The Leak Is Coming From The Tranny Housing Around Where It Bolts To The Block Right By The End Of The Oil Pan. I Already Replaced The Oil Pan Gasket And The Oil Pump And Crank Seal Though. I Have Replaced The Tranny Seals Along With Every Other One, Not That It Means Much. I Had Someone Look At It And They Said That The Noise Isnt Anything That Will Hurt It They Said That On Older Rollas And Camrys Its Typical For The Engine To Be Loud. It Almost Sounds Like Piston Slap Or Really Loud Valve Or Lifter Tap. It Was Rebuilt About 5 Years Ago.

get a valve lash, to cure the noise issue, the leaking is most likely the input shaft bearing in the transmission
