4Af rev limiter???

I been reading around. people say that
the 4af doesnt have a rev limiter and others say
its hits at 6,000 and some say its at 6,300. Can anyone
tell me when it hits or if it doensnt have one and
The redline for 4af is 6,000 right? thanks

4af redline = 6300 rpm

doesn't have a rev limiter that I can find, at least not any that would help you. I hit 8000 one time and thats the end of the tach. At 7000 rpm your valves float, so don't go past that

At 7000 rpm your valves float, so don't go past that

Means the valves dont follow the lobes on the camshafts anymore, they jump. I did 9000 once, sounded horrible.

4afe does, 4af doesn't.

Thats why I am always talking about doing head work. I am pretty sure the rest of the engine could take more rpm, it's the head I am most worried about. valve springs and such
