Seat Swap Possible?

I do a lot of commuting, hence the sn. But i have to say the seat are really causing me a lot of pain. At first i thought it might be my seating position, but after months to dealing with the pain, i just can't. So i was wondering if there are any good options in getting some really comfortable seats in my car(1997 geo prizm).

I've got a 2002, in your situation as well, and would also like to know about any more comfortable seat options. My gf's cavalier feels much better to take extended trips in.

I personally added 2002 celica seats to my car, but all seats are gonna need modification, like for the celica seats i had to remove the tabs that bolt the seat to the chassis and fabricate new ones and bolt them in place.

^^^ pretty much. as long as the physical dimensions of the seat aren't too large, you'll be able to put any seat in there...but there are no brackets available, so you will either have to have them made or make them yourself.

Seats from the Corolla LE should bolt up, assuming the rail design is identical between Corolla and Prism. Anything else is going to require a fair bit of custom work and either run you a good bit of money or require friends with mad skillz. Bear in mind when you custom-fit seat rails, you're literally trusting your life to the quality of your metalwork in the event of a sudden stop.

I like to corolla le idea. Maybe even a corolla S seat. I curious if there are certain years of interchangability. Since i have a 1997 will the 1998-2002 seats fit? Assuming corolla and prizms are the same. And if some which model has manual, supportive seat, or are they all the same?

The only seat differences between models (that I've seen) in the 93-97 is that the LE had better-bolstered seats, more of a sport-luxury approach. No power seats, though...What makes sourcing bolt-in replacements a little tricky is the odd horizontal positioning of one of the bolts/tabs...I don't think any other vehicle does this.

98-02 has some exchange between 93-97, but I'm not sure if it covers seats as well.

Alternatively, Walmart sells a foam-filled cushion of sorts (black mesh, kind of 'squishy') that for ~$15 will provide excellent lumbar support in the stock seats...
