1990 Corolla interior handle

The plastic surround for the driver side rear interior door lever on my 90 Rolla sedan snapped at the pivot point and I cannot open the door from the inside.

I went to Napa and got a replacement for the driver side door and it was not right when I brought it home. The part is described as driver side but the part that connects to the rod is at the wrong location and cannot be used. I went to Napa again and they showed me their parts list and they used the same photo, but rotated for the passenger side door handle. Is the passenger side handle the correct one to use on the driver side rear?

Are the front handles different from the rear handles or does the rod come in from the bottom rather than the top on forward handles?

The Napa store does not carry the parts locally so I have to order them. I do not want to get it from the dealer because it costs twice as much as Napa. The ones at the dealer are painted, but for a 17 year old car, the appearance isn't that important any more - it just has to work.

I've checked several wreckers near by and none of them have the part I need.
