quick oil change quick

the 05 corolla has 25k miles on it and has been running on a dino 3k OCI.

want to make permanent change to synthetic, can i still do this?

I switched at 40k miles - no problems 12k later.

definetly can still change. My buddy changed his 2000 BMW 328is over at 101 to the amsoil synthetic and drives like a moron. still no leaks or burning and he changes it every 10,000. Got close to 138,000 on it now.

BMWs and Mercedes have separate maintenance intervals set at 10k-12k miles apart. The maintenance schedules are totally different then the Japanese ones.

if you only knew my friend, if you only knew. maintence for the BMW is every 7500k and the only reason he changes it every 10k is because he is using the amsoil oil that says "• Severe Service(4) – Up to 15,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first." We figure his driving style is way worse than severe so every 10k

Yea, I heard ya, BMW owners and their driving habits . I dunno if it varies from dealer to dealer but so far every BMW and Benz dealer I've been to are using Mobil oil. The car's computer also adjusts to driving habits and shortens the maintenence period.
