New Motor?

I have a 95 Corolla and the guy I bought it off said that there was a new motor put in a couple of years ago with about 100,000km on it. Currently my car is at 270,000km and still works like a new car. New struts, rad, exhaust, brakes and many more parts, but what I would really like to know is if the engine was really replaced or not. I ran a carfax report and came up empty. Is there any other way I can find out for sure? Any numbers I can match or anything like that? It would be nice if the car did only have little over 100,000km on it. Runs too good for 270, but it is a toyota

I belive that not only does the car have a vin number that you can see from the windshield, but the ebngine block should have a vin number, and the original motor's vin should match the one on the windshield.

that would be my guess, but I am not totally sure.

It looks like my serial number on the motor fell off . Any more suggestions?

Engine is considered a replacement part and it has no VIN on it. There is no way for you to find out if the motor was replaced or not.
