depends on what you want. What are you looking for in the car? Remember if it's just going to be for the street a low power car will be more fun in the long run

4AF =

Not worth it dude, the only way to make that motor go really fast is to throw it off a cliff.

Don't listen to ren, he always knocks the 4af/4afe. But Flashmn and I will tell you they aren't bad motors. 4age just have a popular rep.

for drag I would say buy another car... fwd is more of a track thing that drag purely for the fact your weight shifts to the back when you giver.. and hey your rear wheels do nothing

If your looking for power and have good budget 3sgte ftw, or a 20v silvertop with a turbo. Or a 4agze is another good idea.

Well like I always say. The 4af/4afe have more torque per hp due to the valve angle difference from the 4age.

if your on a budget you'll get more bang for your buck doing a swap, imo, plus if you wanna drag then gze would be a good platform to start with considering the price...

AE92

here they do alot of fwd hondas and stuff but thats the thing i dont want a honda every one and there moms has one but i like being original my friend is like " juss buy a eg and throw an H or a K" but its sorta true becuae the AF has what 90 hp and like 75 to the wheels so lets say to get it to even compete with a single cam honda or a B16 even your going to have to put money in the engine or spray it.

also what do you mean by track? liek that auto cross thing?

yeah more of a cornering car. Fwd isn't really a great car for drag. Purely for the fact that I pointed out. Weight comes off the drive wheels.

I'm not saying get a honda... Although honda's are GREAT cars. They are just way more common than something like an ae92.

Whether you go 4af/4afe or 4age, leaving out 20v and gze. You'll need money to make them compare to the honda motor.

My suggestion is Get bigger valves, better valve springs, Cams, Pistons... not sure on the connecting rods for the 4af (flashmn how are they for strength?), lastly a forged crank.

Dual carbs... or at least a weber, I would get rid of the stock manifolds and port the head

For the 4af if your into F/I I'd turbo it, intercooler too.

Now at this point your gonna need to replace the exhaust because hey that engine will need to breath better than the stock one would. So another addon should be a hood scoop, woot cool air.

Thats just the motor. If you want to drag it and have it as a street car the only way to go will be coil overs since you'll need to adjust it accordlingly for the drag and another way for the street, otherwise that new power will be useless. Tires and rims due to 175/70/r13's being really crummy for traction.
