Great to hear it went well. Can you please post the entire story with pictures when you get a chance. It would be a very important piece of information.

Again, congratulations and enjoy your sleek ride.

Yea sure I don’t have pics of the process, but I can take pics of what I had to tap into in order to get it running and stuff.

Anyone feel free to add onto this if I’m missing anything.

Parts:
Manual trans
Clutch pedal
Brake pedal
Shift linkage
Shifter
Metal gasket(or whatever it is) off the engine with the manual trans
Flywheel
Clutch
Pressure plate
Clutch master cylinder
Radiator from manual car

How I did it:

First off I have a 95 geo prism LSI with a 1.8l but I’m told it’s the same as a corolla and from pics of the engine compartment it looks the same so this should help for the corollas too. The trans I used was the 1.6l manual trans from my 94 prism that was crashed and also I already had all the parts from my old car, but if you look around some junkyards or salvage yards you might be able to find some manual ones and just use that stuff. Also you do not need to get a different computer if you want to you can but all you have to do is run some wires to the clutch start switch on the clutch pedal. I also had a book like Chilton or Haynes that I went to for some things so that might be a good idea as well as looking on some forums.

Well basically I had all the parts from my old car so I didn’t have to go around and find the parts so that was a plus. Basically from the start its kind of common sense we jacked the car up put it on jack stands and I took everything that would have been in the way out like intake, battery stuff like that then I unhooked all the wires and cables and anything else that might have been connected to the auto trans. We then unbolted the mounts on the front, back and trans side and supported the engine then we also had to take out the center support under the engine. We supported the auto trans with a jack then started to unbolt it along with the torque converter and then pulled it apart we had a little trouble doing it but we finally got it out. After that we put the flywheel, clutch, and switched the metal gasket thing or whatever its called cause the auto one has a hole for the torque converter bolts and the manual has that space closed up and all that on the engine aligned it then we jacked the manual trans up into the bay got it up and onto the engine and bolted it up. Also you will have to change the radiator out or just plug up the hoses that would go to the auto trans cause the radiator for the auto is different than for the manual. That was about it with that part just have to put the axles and stuff back together and that’s all done.

You are then going to have to drill out where the clutch pedal and master cylinder has to be which there should be a space where it looks like it would be but it just doesn’t have any holes and also change the brake pedal out or just cut your current one down so its not in the way. You are going to have to take the entire center console out along with the ECU to get to the auto shifter and to the plate in the back that is connected to the cable it has 2 bolts on the inside and 2 in the engine bay where the cable comes out. Then remove the big rubber washer in the engine compartment and pull the cable thru the inside and take the auto shifter out and just do the opposite with the shifter linkage put it thru the hole where you pulled the auto cable out and bolt it in and bolt the shifter into place along with attaching the cables to the trans and shifter.

The wiring I had to do was to the park/neutral switch plug that is left on the harness. If you have a 1.6l geo prism there should already be a clutch start switch plug down by where the fuses are depending where you are from and I’m not sure about the corolla they might have this as well, but the 1.8l doesn’t have this plug so what you have to do is on the park/neutral switch plug take the 2 black wires they are the only black ones on there and they are the biggest ones on there those are for the clutch start switch just run wires from those to the plug on the clutch pedal and your good. Another thing I had to wire was my reverse lights which those wires are also on the park/neutral switch plug they are the red ones with I believe a black stripe and a blue one those just run to the reverse plug on the trans.

After all that you just have to fill the trans, radiator, master cylinder and bleed it go over everything one last time and you should be ready to go.

Hope this helps anyone if not I gave it a try and sorry this didn’t help you. Ill try and get some pictures up as well.
