Very Bad Noise at 40mph....

First off 89 Corolla All-Trac 5-Spd 158,xxx

THE PROBLEM:
While driving the car the front end will virate a little, as you approach 40mph the vibration and the noise get really bad, if you turn to the right the noise and vibration go away like they were never there, if you turn to the left it gets horribly worse. around 65-75mph the noise/vibration disapears until you slow down the below 65mph. Also if you make a left hand u-turn in an empty parking lot and continue just to drive in a circle you get a horide metal grinding noise. A few months ago in the winter months a lady pulled out in front of me and I had to slide into the curb to avoid rear ending her (very bad snow storm). I got a buldge in my tire front passenger tire. The side of the car that the noise is coming from.

THE SOLUTION??:
So I immididetly I'm telling my self wheel-bearing. However I didnt exactly want to do the wheel bearing so I thought I would try some other things first and try to get lucky. I replaced:

-4 Brand New Tires
-New Brake Pads and Rotors
-New Dust Guard
-Rebuilt Passanger Side Axel
-Rebuilt Passenger side Caliper

and then nothing fixed it so I finally replaced the wheel bearing / hub assembly. However the noise and vibration is still their and possibly worse. You guys think they gave me a bogus bearing? Any other suggestions?

I'm thinking you bent something, take a look at the suspension and see if nothing is bent or even broken.

i looked at everything, and everything is straight. the noise is definetly a wheel bearing. I am going to go do it again this afternoon. I will let you guys know. If they did give me a bad wheel bearing I am going to *(#^*#^%()&(@&&%(@&)@&% or something along those lines. I'm also going to take some pics and post them up.

yea I did press (more like rail the shit out of it with my hammer ) my own bearing, however that wasnt the problem. It was actually the driver side wheel bearing that needed to be replaced not the passenger side. My friend Skunk was telling me he made the same mistake on a 93 Corolla, and explained the same situation as what had happened to me, he said just replace the driver side and you will be cool. So I figure I will give his shop a shout out since with his advice my corolla is now running happy again. Thanks to "Skunks Speed Shop", Greenway Cross Road, Madison, Wisconsin, for pointing me in that direction!!!!!!!
Here are some pics of the bearing:

The New Bearing pressed in (actually the photo is a shot of the whole steering knuckle):

You can see the old hub lying in the back ground in this pic:

The best way to hold a caliper up is an old spark plug wire (the long one of course):
