Rear Struts 1996 Corolla

can someone tell me if the brakeline on the rear struts can be removed from the strut housing by removing the clip on top of the brake line hold or does the line actually have to be separated.

I think you can remove the clip and explore further, but if the bracket has a round hole, you will have to disconnect the brake line. Toyota must have hired an unemployed american automotive engineer for this design.
