Probably a stupid question but....

I recently had my alignment and tires rotated and balanced. After doing this the car starting pulling left slightly. Just enough to where I have to constantly correct the steering wheel. I took it back to the mechanic and they re did the alignment and gave me the specs after completing it. The alignment is practically perfect and still it pulls to the left. Any ideas what can be causing the problem? tire pressure?

I dont know why but the guys here wont reply to anything... maybe coz they like cars swerving! it just give them more "gangstaH" points

but in my opinion try getting the camber kits... what year is ur rolla anyway>?

What did the mechanic say, I would think he would be the one to ask first since he was right there giving the alignment, I know Conrad's Automotive here check everything before giving you an alignment and if the find something wrong they won't do it till it's fixed...Could be many things, but we're only guessing here, ball joints, tie rods, strut suspension, bearings, wheels bent, tires out of line or oddly worn or yes it could be "tire pressure" I would start by asking your mechanic....Just my opinion...

Let us know how you make out

Could even be directional tires that they rotated wrong...It happened to some guy when I was at a tire shop this winter...So it does happen...

Could also be a defect in one of the tires that got moved to the front when they were rotated.

Try switching out the two front tires. If your pull then goes to the right you found the culprit. Also make sure both front tires have the same pressure as any difference can cause that pull as well.

take it to another shop. Toyota screwed my alignment... they thought it was OK to do 3 out of 4 wheels!

If the allignment is good. Check your wheel bearings, tie rods and ball joints. Then check your tires for any abnormal wear or anything that could be causing it.

take it to another place, I would check the simple things first like everyone else was saying, tire pressure. What happened that you had to take an 05 in for an alignment? Did you get in an accident? Hit a curb? Tire fly off on the highway? If you hit a curb wheelbearing or tierod end could be the perp here. Otherwise its a balljoint more than likley.

i live in Maryland so the traffic here is horrible. I sometimes take the back roads and thats basically driving on a patch of dirt, so I had the alignment done. I'll try the switching of the front tires and pressure and let ya guys know. thanks for the help

If all is good (ball joints, tie rods, etc...) you might have a sticky caliper
