FINALLY! I GOT 2800 dollars in cash and still have a $5K credit ! and now I want to turbo my Corolla A/T its slow so I want turbo for the hills and mountains...
My concern is I dont know which one to get...
I want something that will atleast get me to 200 Flywheel HP and about 150 lb. ft. TQ
but everytime I look at turbo kits for the 03 it always say that its a complete turbo kit, but still theres an Emanage stage1-2 with a 440cc injectors options I want to know if the base kit comes with emanage?
I really want to know the additional stuff I need to Turbo my slowrolla!!! please give me some tips and advices... and has anyone here ever tried to install a turbo here for the 9th gen? I'm also considering Supercharging with the emanage can it make about 200HP?
well Im not asking for 300HP... I just need 200HP for the hill climbs...
I just want to make this car a trouble free everyday work transport but sometimes when I go on long drives I really cant keep up with C-Class Benz's like my tC does on the highway I just want to make my Corolla's performance a bit better than my new car...

anyone know a safe turbo for everyday driving?
please I'm not kidding on this turbo thing...
Whether you are kidding or not I have no idea but from another Corolla forum I've heard it all way too many times about someone wanting to get 300+hp or turbo their car only to dissapoint. They're just frontin. But anyways....
HASS turbo kit can satisfy your needs and maybe some more. Although there are a few things I may change on that kit. Just so you know stock is the most trouble free you can get, because adding a turbo adds more stress to the engine which inturns decreases the life expectancy of the engine.
Are you sure your tC kept up with a C Class on the highway pull? I'm not saying I don't believe you but I've raced a tC before on the highway and I had a few car lengths on him. What C Class was it?
Oh and I suggest you read up more on your turbo research. Its for your own good.
Uhh.. your asking about the C-Class Benz I'm trying to keep up with? well I'm not sure what year, but it is a late model "curvy" type that looks like a gen9 Corolla... I kept up with it coz my tC is new and its a stickshift... I was just going 85-95 on I-15 uphill... nothing really, "my rolla goes the same speed but it takes a long time" thats why I want F.I.!!!
uhh.. you said stock is the best right??? what should I do with my money? the Corolla is out of warranty now too and I paid it cashed when I bought it more than 5years ago... uuhhh and the TURBO you where telling me "HASS", thats the one I'm talking about... does that have emanage? or need emanage to work?
I say supercharge it... but Im biased. I know of a few ppl selling a supercharger kit (auto) RIGHT NOW. They dont make them from TRD/Toyota any more so if thats the road you choose and you find one jump on it. They are rare now a days.
I would go with the TRD supercharger as polo posted. It should fit your needs, not too much power but enough for when you need it. And, there are auto Corollas running on the s/c setup but not many on turbo because of the automatic transmission from the Corolla. And please actually read my post regarding the durability and trouble free issue on engines. I'm not saying stock is best or how to spend your money. And if you visit Hass' website you would see that the eManage is part of the fuel system package that is if you opt to pay more. Upgrade to the second package and you will see Hydra but no eManage. Hm..... does that answer your question? If you want to have your engine last if you turbo then your gonna have to learn more. Fuel pressure regulator vs Standalone.
Im confused!!! Well I want Turbo because my neigbor told me that it doesnt "respond" under 3K RPM and sips the same amount of fuel below 3K RPM and it gives you more boost above 3K RPM... he also told me that it will cost more to Turbo my car because its an automatic...
is this true? and he drives a 2001 Integra Turbo and he said that it consumes a bit less gas than when he was stock on the highway, but he does get less MPG on the city since he drives a stick...
ON the other-hand the Supercharger, does it give you instant boost unlike the Turbo? and will it consume much more gas than before? will it only get 28 on the highway "which is worst than my tC?" also do I need to take it to a "TUNE" shop just to get my S/C running right like Turbo?
I just want a reliable car with some power on the up-hills... not a "10 second car with NOS"
WELL I JUST CALLED MY LOCAL TRD DEALER AT TOYOTA... Well the S/C cost a whopping 3700 dollars!
I'll mostly likely buy online for 2grand... if I'm taking the S/C setup...
First and foremost, stop listening to people who think they know, but they dont know anything... like your neighbor....
2nd, think what you actually want with that car.
3rd, are you seriously mechanically inclined to do a turbo setup?
If you want a 100% reliable turbo car, you should of gotten a turbocharged car from the factory, all aftermarket installations are made with compromises, since the price tag limits options alot.
yeah... sorry but your neighbor doesnt sound too knowledgeable. A supercharger doesn't "respond" when you dont want it to either. I can actually reach RPM levels above 6000 and still not be in boost if I dont want to be. At the same time, if I want boost its there... instantly.
I bought my supercharger kit for right around $2000 so if you shop around Im sure you can find it cheaper. Dealerships will always be the most expensive. Also, its basically plug and play. It comes with an ECU "piggyback" that alters everything for you so there is no tune. It can be tuned for even more power but initially its plug and play, no tune required.
You may score a turbo for a cheaper price but good luck finding a shop to install it for you for less than $1500 easy.

THANKS 4 READING AND HELPING AGAIN!!!
My neighbor told me that if I plant flowers on my lawn it can brighten up the house. I'd say screw that, I'm broke.
As for the boost, the pedal pressure and position plays a role. You can be out of boost and be getting good gas mileage or be in redline. You must be thinking about turbo lag, generally the bigger the turbo sizing the longer the lag when pushing it. Supercharger when push would create boose much sooner then the turbos since its not exhaust driven. From your post I would suggest the TRD supercharger, less problems to worry about and you'll get that oomph. Nitrous is another suggestion but decided for yourself. Your gonna have to prioritize which one you want more, the reliability factor or the power factor?
funny thing is that most ppl that turbo the 1zz with "normal" boost levels and stock internals are pushing the same as the supercharger, if not less... with far less reliability and less low end.
