1989 Corolla LE -- Does this seem like a good buy at: $1150.00

Hey forum folks, does this sound like a decent price?
I had a chance to drive the car and it seems to run out real snappy for a 1.6 liter.
The car is clean seems to have not been abused in its previous ownership.

I am thinking about offering $1100.00 for this car.

Thanks for any advice or feelings on this type of car or the pricing at the lot.

I would say about $900

I've got a 91 corolla dx, about 160k miles on it and I would say that the mpg is ok, could be better. The TC would be a better replacement as it has about the same mpg specs: 23 city, 30 highway, but with 160hp and 163lbs of low end torque!

A lot of the parts in my car are still factory, so you're talking about 16 year old parts..18 with the corolla you're thinking of buying. You could just pay another $2-3k to rebuild the engine instead of buying a new 2008 car
