92 Corolla Turn's over, won't start

I have had it sitting in my garage for about 7 months. When I put it in there it ran fine. Pulled it out today, due to my truck blowing up on me to get it going. Changed the battery and tried to start it. It cranks fine but won't start. What possibly could have happened? I did put 5 gallons of fresh gas in it. Tried the trick putting a jumper between the 2 points on the diagnostic port to see if I could hear the pump, but due to the location it didn't sound like anything was going. I am not sure on how loud it would actually be or even it it would be audible at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the air intake tubing that runs from air cleaner to throttle body. Open the throttle and spray some starting fluid inside. Try starting it. If it starts and immediately dies you have a fuel quality or delivery issue. Try removing a spark plug and reconnect the wire and ground the plug body to ground. Have someone crank it while watching the plug for a strong spark. No spark is a ignition problem (plug/ cap/rotor/ wires/ignitor/ coil ) are possible candidates. Did you put in any gas stabilizer before you stored it 7 months ago? If not even though you added some new gas your remaining gas in the tank might have gone bad.

open the oil cap and look at the cams while someone cranks the engine, if they don't spin you broke your timing belt. if the spark plugs only spark once, it's most likely the timing belt too. the dizzy (distributer) runs off the cams

Got the starting fluid and boom cranks right over. Took off the fuel filter and put car to on to see if any gas came out of the line. Not even a little squirt. Everything elecrical to the point I can check looks fine.

I bought a new pump and now after gettin the tank nice and loose I can't get the darn thing past my exhaust pipe to drop it all the way. Is this a 2 man job to shimmy the pipe and push the tank over a little bit? Trying to do it by myself is doing nothing but aggravating me. Any advice would help. Thanks.

Question

Took what out?? a gas tank??? don't you just take the access cover to the tank (To get to the float and pump) under the rear seat (where you unbolt a small access plate and unplug the wires)???

wellllll. Would be nice if the stupid maintenance manual I have said it had one. It says you have to drop the tank. I'll take a look and see if its there or not.

There is an access port but it only shows the sending unit.

You should be able to get to the fuel pump from that access panel. Also did you check to see if the relay for the fuel pump is good? Think there is one in the relay/fuse box in the engine area (left side near battery).

You could also have a clogged fuel line. Try disconnecting the fuel line at the tank and blowing it out with a compressor.
